CRESTED BUTTE

Crested Butte, often called “the last great ski town,” is known for its captivating natural beauty, wildflowers, and the breathtaking steeps of Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Though, Crested Butte may be best known for its close-knit community that pays homage to a (perhaps forgotten) way of mountain life. Surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the Elk Mountains, Crested Butte is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts in all seasons, drawing mountain bikers to 750 miles of single-track throughout Gunnison County. Town of Crested Butte is a national historic district that is arguably one of the most picturesque in the West.

THE VAIL VALLEY

The Vail Valley is a renowned mountain destination, famous for its world-class ski resorts Vail and Beaver Creek, year-round outdoor activities, and a vibrant cultural scene with live music venues and theaters including the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater and the Vilar Center for the Arts. Vail offers pristine slopes for winter sports enthusiasts and transforms into a lush playground for hikers, bikers, and nature enthusiasts during the summer months. Sometimes referred to as a “moutain-tropolis” the Vail Valley has become a permanent home to many, due to its unique fusion of mountainous surroundings with urban infrastructure and amenities.
